Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our mission and our chocolate.
Why are your chocolate bars divided unequally?
Our bars are unequally divided to represent the social inequality in the cocoa industry. It is our way of reminding chocolate lovers that the profits in the chocolate supply chain are not shared fairly.
Is Tony's Chocolonely chocolate 100% slave-free?
Our mission is to make 100% slave-free the norm in chocolate. We currently source all our beans directly from partner cooperatives in West Africa and pay a higher price to ensure a living income and eliminate illegal labor.
What is the shelf life of your chocolate bars?
Most of our milk chocolate bars have a shelf life of 12 months, while our dark chocolate bars last up to 18 months. You can find the specific 'Best Before' date printed on the side of each wrapper.
Do you offer vegan or dairy-free options?
Yes! Many of our dark chocolate varieties are naturally vegan. Please check the ingredient list on each product page to confirm, as some bars are produced on machinery that also processes milk chocolate.
How do you handle shipping in warm weather?
To prevent melting, we monitor temperatures across delivery routes. During summer months, we utilize insulated packaging and cold packs to ensure your chocolate arrives in perfect, solid condition.
Can I track my order once it has shipped?
Absolutely. Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive a confirmation email containing a tracking link so you can follow your chocolate's journey to your doorstep.
